Three fun exercises

I don't have a sketch for today, so instead I have three easy exercises you can use to practice and pass the time.

1. Photography: Go out to a park and take a bunch of pictures of the nature around you, and when you get back home try to recreate those pictures in a sketch.

2. Take a random scene from a book and sketch, or paint, it using your imagination to visualize the paragraph.

3. Same as two, only take the scene from a movie instead.(Much easier)

This exercise helps beginner artists (like me) with things like shadowing, texture and perspective.

This one's a bit late due to a hectic day, but here it is: A sketch loosely modeled after the elf Tallis in Felicia Day's web series Dragonage: Redemption.

Sneak peak of something I'm doing with art rage for class. (Kind of a knock-off of a different picture on google but that's part of the project. So no copy-right infringement intended)

Okay..So it's more than a sneak peak but next time it's posted it'll be prettier and colored in.

Okay, so this is my first blog. Why not make it about something I do every day? Art is one of my passions and my main hobby. So sit back and enjoy the sketches I post every once in awhile and give me you're opinions on them. :D Further more, first sketch of the blog!
